These links are sites which are generally dedicated to a specific composer. In some cases they are either the composer's own web-site, and in others the sites are run by fans for fans.

 

Film Music Links


  • Music Notes has much movie sheet music which can be purchased, downloaded and printed in a matter of minutes
  • FilmMusik 2000, a German language site with lots of reviews of soundtracks.
  • International Film Music Services will arrange and record soundtrack material for your film, their site also contains a large number of interesting film music links.
  • TheCelebrityCafe.com features interviews with musicians, singers, actors, writers, althletes. etc.
  • The Soundtracks Section of the FortyTwo Trading Company site is a useful resource with a wealth of links related to film composers and film music.
  • MusicImports is a US site with a huge database of CD titles, including classical, film, jazz, etc.
  • Soundtrack-Express has a large number of helpful reviews of soundtracks on CD including links to the appropriate Amazon product.
  • www.scorereviews.com is a well organised site full of Film Music News and Reviews.
  • www.celluloidtunes.com has a huge list of links to film composer sites (both official and fan ones) and a nice section on Danny Elfman.
  • www.filmmuziek.be is an extensive site in Dutch dedicated to film music, with soundtrack reviews and realaudio track extracts.
  • MovieMusic.com provides soundtrack reviews, and has an extensive directory of film music links.
  • Streaming Soundtracks.com allows you to legally listen to soundtracks online, with a wealth of other features too - a great way to try before you buy.
  • ReelWorld-Online by composer Jeff Rona (e.g. Ridley Scott's "White Squall") is the companion site to his book "The Reel World" about the art of film composing.
  • www.pianobrothers.com is the website of The O'Neill Brothers, two brother on two pianos who have sold over 700,000 relaxing piano CDs and whose music has featured on "Sex & the City"
  • Film Score Monthly is an online and printed magazine with lots of reviews, interviews, articles, links and other features about film music
  • FilmMusic.com (also known as Soundtrack.net) is a useful online resource with articles and reviews, and a lot of information about film composers
  • Music from the Movies is a magazine and online resource with lots of film music news, soundtrack reviews, composer details and feature interviews.
  • Through their web-site Royalty Free Music.com, Award Winning Music offer many collections of royalty free music which can be used as background music in your productions.
  • www.qwato.com/scores - The Movie Soundtrack Web Page.
  • The UniqueTracks Classical Production Music Library provides Royalty Free classical music for use in film and video productions. Contemporary tracks are also available as production CDs and MP3 downloads.
  • Assaf Rinde is an Israeli composer of music for film and television. His web-site has further details and sound samples.
  • Broadway Best is an Australian site with a lot of products related to musicals including Sheet Music, CDs and DVDs.
  • Future Movies UK is a British movie review and filmmaking website
  • UCMF (in French and English) is the Union of Film Music Composers who will have a pavillion at the Cannes International Film Festival in May 2005 - see International Film Music Pavilion
  • Macsauru is a site dedicated to Japanese movie making.
  • Arts Entertainment World is an online resource of the arts & entertainment world with movies, jokes, fashion, museum, literature, music, shopping, cards, games and festivals.
  • Cineforen is a German Film Magazine site with motion picture news, film reviews and criticism, new DVDs and a number of discussion forums on films and film music.
  • The Film Music Review page of AmericanMusicPreservation.com is an excellent starting point for their online e-zine, reviews, featured composers, the annual Sammy Awards and more.
  • Production Company India - whose rapport with bureaucracy & knowledge of rules & regulations enable them to smoothly obtain all kinds of Government & Local Authorities permissions to shoot at the locations of your choice.
